The designated UNESCO-UNEVOC Centre Qatar is located within UDST's Office of Applied Research and Innovation. It is a Centre for Excellence dedicated to advancing Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Qatar.
The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) is the third largest post-secondary educational institution in Qatar. UDST strives to meet the ever-changing needs of the State of Qatar through strategic partnerships with government, industry, other institutions of higher education. UDST offers an education that can be customized to industry and to students.
UDST is Qatar’s leading TVET institution and the country’s official UNEVOC centre. Programs taught at UDST have been identified by the State of Qatar as vital to building the country’s knowledge economy. UDST has and continuous to be a key partner to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education as well industry in the achievement of the Human Development pillar of Qatar's National Vision 2030.
UDST works closely with the government of Qatar and industry to ensure that our students learn skills that are in demand in the workplace. Our graduates make an impact in the workplace from day one because a TVET education is an applied education. In addition to the traditional classroom and work placements, our students learn on real world equipment and tools typically found in the workplace of their chosen career.
UDST graduates are job-ready with high level of technical and 21st century skills. Through leadership and innovation in education, applied research, community service and engagement, UDST prepares professionals for a growing and diverse society, offering customized technical and vocational programs to the State of Qatar and beyond. Using the latest technologies, learning facilities, laboratories and simulators, it is also specialized in customized training and education to serve many sectors including oil and gas, petrochemicals, and others.
UDST offers applied technical and vocational education learning experiences that lead to internationally recognized certificates, diplomas and degrees.
