The announcement indicated that H.E. Dr. Al-Sada was chosen in recognition of his dedication in strengthening the close bilateral relations between Qatar and Japan, and for his appreciated efforts that contributed to the stability of energy supply to Japan over the period from 2011 to 2018. In addition, his valuable contribution to the development of economic relations with Japan during his Japan-Qatar Joint Economic Committee presidency for nine years. H.E. Dr. Al Sada expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the government of Japan for the honor of granting him the grand rising sun order, affirming that this reflects an honor for the state of Qatar before being an honor for him.
HE affirmed that the close and perfect decades-long relations between Qatar and Japan at all dimensions are a product of the keen eye and the sound policy of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani the Emir of Qatar, and the embedded rules established by H.H. the father Emire Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, which is based on mutual respect and on strengthening the cooperation with friendly countries on all political economic and social levels. H.E. praised the distinguished economic relations that exist between the two friendly countries, especially in the energy field, which greatly contributed to the consolidation of relation in all other areas.
