Student Counselling and Accessibility Services

Student Counselling and Accessibility Services (SCAS) provides free, confidential support to all registered UDST students.

SCAS is committed to fostering an inclusive environment that promotes student growth and well-being. Through counselling, accessibility support, psycho-education, and advocacy, we collaborate to eliminate barriers, empower students to overcome challenges and enable students to achieve their full potential.

Our Services

Mental Health Counselling

A team of Student Counselling Specialists is available to provide one-to-one support to students. The Specialists will address any personal challenges that may be impacting their daily experiences such as family and friendship dynamics, managing emotions, as well as, improving confidence.

Accessibility Support

Accessibility Specialists provide support and accommodations to ensure equal access to education and resources for individuals with disabilities. Services may include assistive technology, academic adjustments, physical access modifications, and personalized support plans to promote inclusion and success.

Awareness Events

Events are organized throughout the year to raise awareness regarding mental health and accessibility support. These events aim to educate students, staff and faculty, promote positive behaviors, build community support as well as encourage a healthy inclusive environment.

Workshops

Student Counselling and Accessibility Services provide various workshops that support personal development and growth. These workshops help students develop essential skills that will benefit them as they transition into adult life.
