The Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation is committed to supporting talented students and has established this scholarship to provide financial assistance to deserving individuals.
Financial Reward Program for Academically Outstanding, Qatari Students (Rewards Program)
This program is designed to award QR 5,000 per semester to select Qatari students at University of Doha for Science & Technology who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need. The goal is to motivate high-achieving students by providing the financial support necessary to meet both university-related and personal financial needs, fostering a spirit of competition and dedication to academic success.
Eligibility Criteria for the Rewards Program
- The applicant must be a Qatari national.
- The per capita family income should not exceed QR 6,000, based on the guardian's net salary after deducting government housing loans, retirement pensions, and personal loans.
- The applicant must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Rewards are suspended if the GPA drops below this threshold.
- The applicant must be actively enrolled in courses for the semester to qualify for the reward.
- Eligible students can receive the reward for multiple semesters, provided they do not exceed the standard duration of their study program.
- Each student may receive the financial reward only once per academic year.
Required Documentation
To apply for financial aid under this program, the following documents must be submitted via the financial aid online application on Student Self Service before the specified deadline:
- Guardian’s Salary Certificate: A recent salary certificate issued within the last three months, detailing deductions for retirement pensions.
- Student’s Bank Details: A certificate from the relevant bank with the student’s bank account number.
- Housing Loan Documentation: A certificate from Qatar Development Bank or a bank statement from the guardian’s bank showing monthly deductions for government-sponsored housing loans (if applicable).
- Guardian’s Debt Statement: A bank certificate listing monthly installments of any loans held by the guardian (if applicable).
- Student’s Qatari ID: A valid copy of the student’s Qatari ID (both sides) in a single PDF file.
- Guardian and Dependents’ IDs: Copies of valid Qatari IDs for the guardian and any unemployed family members, also in a single PDF file.
- Additional Documentation for Non-Working Guardians: If the guardian was previously unemployed, provide a certificate from the Civil Service and Governmental Development Bureau indicating unemployment, a three-month bank statement, and a Qatar Credit Bureau report listing the guardian’s bank accounts.
- Other Supporting Documents: Additional documents detailing the financial circumstances of the student or family may be requested by the Foundation for further review.

Financial Aid Program for Non-Qatari Students (University Student Support)
This program offers term-based financial assistance to non-Qatari students in need, to aid in completing their university education by covering tuition fees.
Eligibility Criteria for Non-Qatari Student Support Program
- The applicant must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3 or higher.
- Per capita family income should not exceed QR 1,000, calculated after deductions for personal loans and rent payments.
- The student must be actively enrolled for the semester.
- This aid does not apply to summer semester fees, fees for course or semester withdrawals, or any past-due fees from previous semesters.
- Students may receive aid for multiple semesters, provided they do not exceed the duration of their study plan.
- Each student may receive the financial reward only once per academic year.
Required Documentation
Applications for financial aid under this program must include the following documents, uploaded through Student Self Service:
- Student’s Qatari ID: A copy of the student’s valid Qatari ID (both sides) in a single PDF file.
- Guardian and Dependents’ IDs: Copies of the guardian’s and any unemployed family members’ Qatari IDs (both sides) in a single PDF file.
- Guardian’s Salary Certificate: A recent salary certificate (issued within the last three months) listing any deductions for debts.
- Bank Statements: A six-month bank statement for the guardian or student (if employed).
- Credit Bureau Report: A report from the Qatar Credit Bureau detailing the bank accounts held by the guardian or student.
- Debt Certificate: A bank certificate showing monthly loan installments for the guardian or student, if applicable.
- Employment Contracts: An authenticated employment contract (if working) or a non-employment certificate for the guardian.
- Rental Agreement: A valid, authenticated rental contract, if applicable.
- Additional Documentation for Special Cases: Documentation such as proof of guardian imprisonment or legal documents related to insolvency, if applicable.
