Ceremony Frequently Asked Questions

The Graduation Ceremony takes from approximately one hour to one hour and a half.

The President of the University will present the parchment to the graduates, and the Dean of the College will hand out graduation gifts to the graduates.

Yes, there are female and male volunteers to help students who identified their needs during the online Ceremony Registration.

The University email is the official means of communicating with graduates, so please make sure your email account is working and contact the IT department if you encounter any problem.

Each graduate must make sure that their University email is active on an ongoing basis to receive all the information related to the Graduation Ceremony, as well as to verify and update their contact numbers.

The Graduation Ceremony includes the current Academic Year expected graduates from the Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters.

The graduate order is based on academic level (Master, Bachelor, Diploma) and their cumulative GPA.

The Class of 2024 Graduation Ceremony will include graduates expected to graduate by the end of the Spring 2024 semester.

The Graduation Ceremony will only include Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 graduates, as well as Spring 2024 expected graduates.

Students can request to edit their Arabic name spelling only once through the online Ceremony Registration.

Graduates can attend the Graduation Ceremony if they have outstanding fees. However, graduates will only receive their graduation documents once they have cleared their outstanding fees.

Graduates will be informed via email once their documents are ready for collection from the Admissions and Registration Directorate.

Unfortunately, due to the venue seating capacity and the number of graduates in the graduation class, we will not be able to accommodate extra invitation requests.

There are two awards presented at the Graduates of Excellence Ceremony:

  • President's Award for Academic Excellence:  Awarded to one graduate from each program who has the highest weighted average.  Please note this award is not based on GPA.
  • Graduates with Highest Honors:  For graduates with a cumulative GPA of 4.00.

 

Eligible students will receive an email invitation to attend the Ceremony.
