UDST Extends a Warm Welcome to over 600 New Students at Orientation Gala
In a momentous start to the academic year, UDST proudly welcomed over 600 new students to its ranks during an engaging orientation event on January 1st. The university community gathered to inaugurate the academic journey with enthusiasm and a sense of collective anticipation. Commencing the proceedings, President Dr. Salem Al-Naemi and Vice President of Student Affairs Dr. Christopher Bridges delivered inspiring speeches, setting a tone of encouragement and anticipation for the incoming students.
The event was skillfully hosted by fourth-year student Sundus Aden, who adeptly guided attendees through the program, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience. The heart of the orientation unfolded in a formal assembly, where students were introduced to the diverse array of campus departments, highlighting the academic and extracurricular offerings available. The presentations underscored the university's commitment to fostering an environment of academic excellence and personal growth.
Adding to the warmth of the welcome, the Student Council extended their greetings to the new students with words of encouragement, creating a sense of camaraderie. They introduced themselves wonderfully, fostering a connection between the new students and the university's leadership.
Following the assembly, a comprehensive tour of the various colleges and campus facilities provided students with a firsthand understanding of the university's academic landscape.
To commemorate their induction into the UDST community, students were graciously presented with university-branded giveaways. These tokens not only serve as symbols of pride but also as a tangible connection to the university's values and aspirations.
UDST extends a formal welcome to all of our new students, each poised to contribute to the academic vibrancy and community spirit of our esteemed institution. We wish them a fulfilling and successful journey throughout their tenure at UDST. Welcome aboard, and may your time here be marked by intellectual growth and meaningful experiences.
