Partnerships and Engagement 

The Partnerships and Engagement Directorate acts as the focal point of UDST for external stakeholders. It promotes the University, develops and facilitates relationship with local and international entities, organizations and the community.

Our responsibility is to maintain and promote a strategic partnership with business partners among the world by using the strengths of UDST in the areas of Engineering and Technology, Business, Computing and Information Technology and Health Sciences.

Local Partnerships

• Carry out an annual needs assessment by collaborating with UDST’s business units to gain insights into the university’s needs, goals, and priorities for partnerships. In addition, facilitate communication and coordination to maximize the impact of partnership initiatives.
• Identify partnership opportunities with local government agencies, businesses, and other organizations to promote mutually beneficial collaboration opportunities. Cultivate relationships and networks to expand UDST’s partnership portfolio.
• Drive innovation and practical applications by contributing to research and development focused on knowledge transfer and product development.
• Develop and sustain a current and thorough database encompassing all governmental and industrial partners, alongside potential future collaborators. This database is instrumental to support UDST's community networking endeavors and streamline strategic decision-making processes.

International Partnerships

• Provide access to a wider range of resources, expertise, and research opportunities (research funds, conducting and publishing research) through international partnerships, enhancing quality of education and research outcomes at UDST.
• Attract top talent from around the world, including students, faculty, and researchers, by showcasing UDST’s international collaborations and opportunities for academic and professional development.
• Collaborate with leading universities renowned for excellence in applied science and technology to establish dual degrees and joint programs, thereby enhancing the university’s global presence.
• Coordinate exchange programs (academic and/or entrepreneurial, innovative exchange programs), study abroad opportunities, and language immersion experiences to promote cross-cultural understanding and enrich the academic
• environment at UDST.
• Bring together diverse cultures and perspectives within the university community, fostering an inclusive and supportive academic environment that celebrates cultural diversity.
• Establish and maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive database of the international partners, as well as potential future partners. This database will support UDST’s networking initiatives and facilitate strategic decision-making.
