Peer Tutoring Program

The Peer Tutoring Program provides valuable assistance to students facing challenges in specific courses at no cost. Tutoring sessions are led by high-achieving students who have earned a minimum grade of 80% in the respective course. Please note, the selection of courses for tutoring may vary each semester to meet students' evolving needs. The program supports courses across all colleges and offers three types of tutoring sessions: Drop-in, Individual, and Group.

Individual Tutoring

One-on-One Tutoring

This type of peer tutoring offers one-on-one individualized tutoring support. Peer tutoring under this category is offered on a case-by-case basis and is available for all courses taught at UDST.

Group Tutoring

One to Many Tutoring

This category of peer tutoring offers one-to-many group tutoring sessions. Each session can host up to 3 students, this service is aimed toward groups of classmate who wish to have a session together or on a first come first serve basis. Group tutoring sessions are offered to all UDST students and for a list of pre-selected courses which change every semester to meet students' needs. You can find the

FAQ

The number of hours tutors are assigned is based on their training level. UDST offers four levels of training: Novice, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Each level grants tutors additional privileges, including the opportunity to work more hours.

All tutors are paid by UDST. If a tutor asks you for payment, please contact the Academic Learning Support Specialist.
