Varsity Sport Scholarships

Important Note: Scholarships are currently offered for specific sports listed. Excellence in individual sports or sports outside this list is not considered for scholarships at this time.

1. Athletic Excellence

• Proven excellence in their chosen sport, demonstrating high-level performance and commitment.

• Must meet the requirements and standards set by the respective varsity team.

2. Academic Excellence

• High school academic performance with a minimum C+ grade (78% or 2.0 GPA).

• Any additional academic achievements, honors, or awards will be considered.

3. English & Math Proficiency

• Applicants must meet the minimum English and Mathematics test score requirements as set by the Admissions Office.

4. Athletic Resume

• A detailed resume outlining the applicant’s sports history, accomplishments, and experience.

5. Video Highlights

• Submission of video footage showcasing skills, technique, and competitive performance in the chosen sport.

6. Letters of Recommendation

• Letters from coaches, trainers, or sports professionals who can attest to the applicant’s abilities, work ethic, and potential.

7. Letter of Intent / Personal Statement

• A written statement explaining the applicant’s dedication to both sports and academics.

• Should include relevant personal experiences, challenges, and future goals.

8. Health & Medical Records

• Submission of medical records confirming the applicant's fitness for competitive sports.

• Proof of health insurance coverage.

9. International Clearances (if applicable)

• Compliance with international sports federations and governing bodies, if required for participation in certain competitions.

10. Portfolio of Achievements

• A comprehensive portfolio showcasing athletic achievements, participation in competitions, and leadership roles in sports.

11. Interview

• A final interview to assess the applicant’s suitability for the scholarship program and alignment with the university’s varsity team expectations.

1. Online Application – Complete the application form during the designated application period.

2. Shortlisting – Eligible candidates will be shortlisted and contacted by the selection team.

3. Trial Assessment – Shortlisted candidates will undergo a trial period to assess their skills, performance, and commitment.

4. Interview – Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview as part of the evaluation process.

5. Scholarship Award Notification – Successful applicants will be notified of their scholarship award upon completion of the assessment and interview process.

Applications are now open. The deadline to apply is June 1, 2025. All scholarship applicants will receive the results of their application by July 1, 2025.
