Call for Submissions

We are delighted to invite you to submit abstracts to the International Colloquium on Bioinformatics Learning, Education and Training (iCOBLET) 2024, which will be held from 20th – 21st November 2024. The theme of the colloquium is “Harnessing Bioinformatics Education for Sustainable Innovation.”

You can submit abstract aligned with any of the following focus areas, in relation to bioinformatics learning, education, and training (LET):

1 – Emerging technologies

2 – Pedagogical methods and innovations

3 – Being industry ready (i.e., alignment of bioinformatics LET to the industry needs)

4 – Sustainable development

5 – Ethical, legal & societal considerations

6 – Inclusivity & equity

You can choose to submit your abstract for any of the following purposes:

  • Present a flash talk: Share your innovative ideas or research findings in a concise, dynamic presentation. Flash talks at iCOBLET2024 are designed to provide a rapid overview of your work, sparking interest and encouraging further discussion among attendees.

  • Present a poster : Showcase your research visually through a poster presentation. This format allows for detailed exploration of your study, offering a platform for one-on-one interactions, feedback, and networking with other experts in the field.

  • Propose a workshop: Lead an interactive workshop to delve deeper into specific bioinformatics topics. Workshops at iCOBLET2024 provide hands-on learning experiences, fostering skill development and practical knowledge application in bioinformatics education and research.

  • Propose a breakout session: Facilitate a breakout session to engage participants in focused discussions on pertinent issues in bioinformatics education. These sessions are designed to promote collaborative problem-solving and exchange of ideas, contributing to the overall theme of sustainable innovation.

Please use the Abstract Template to prepare your flash talk/poster abstract and use the Proposal Template to propose a workshop/breakout session.

Please email the abstracts and/or the proposals in PDF format to the conference secretariat ( icoblet2024@udst.edu.qa ).

Accepted abstracts will be published as part of an abstract book on F1000 Research Platform, under the "Bioinformatics Education and Training Collection" (https://f1000research.com/collections/bioinformaticsedu/about-this-collection).
